Hola from Colombia!
My team and I safely arrived in the city of Medellín on Tuesday, with only five people having lost their bags!
This month, we’re working with the City of Refuge: an amazing organization with an incredible heart for this city. The ministry does so many things: homeless ministry, addict recovery programs, school programs, working with internally displaced people, evangelism, church, and more!

So far, we’ve had groups of people go out in the evenings and evangelize to people in parks who are in the middle of buying and using drugs (both times I’ve stayed back and intercessed in prayer for them).
Friday and Saturday, a group of 20 of us went up to an internally displaced people’s camp to hand out school supplies to the children there and to invite the to some programs that the City of Refuge runs.
Thursday we went out in the local area and invited kids to a VBS we had later that day (and it was successful with almost no preparation!)
In summary, my amazing team has jumped right into ministry the first day and haven’t slowed down since! We’re enjoying getting to know the people and the city. Please check out the pictures!
