Jae-ma-see! Hello from Kathmandu, Nepal!
Wow, a lot has been going on recently. First of all, we had team changes! Goodbye to my beautiful Team Valor ladies and hello to Team Fly! We are Tyler, Jen, Lee, Andrew, Katy, and myself! They’re great.
In Nepal, we’ve been working with this fabulous organization that has us going all over the place for ministry every single day.
In the mornings, we teach in a slum (see “classroom” below), and we teach them English and also Bible stories. These children have so very little, yet they have so much joy and enthusiasm and I know they are close to the Father’s heart.
We’re also working in a women’s center for women at risk, teaching English. Last Friday, Em (who’s also a teacher back at home) and I planned an English fair. We had 17 women attend and visit six different classrooms where they did activities on six different topics, run by our team! It was a success and both the Nepalis and the Americans had a lot of fun.
One night we also played Futsal (indoor soccer), and one afternoon we played football with several boys from the slums and the local community! Even though I’m not great, it was a lot of fun.

This coming week there’s a chance we could do some ministry up in the Himalayan mountains, trekking between villages, and we are all here for it. More on that later!
