I’m sitting in a Juan Valdez coffee shop in the middle of Gringoland, Quito, having a reflection day about the month. I honestly can’t believe how much I fell in love with this country and with college ministry. This was the complete opposite of last month. Last month is full of craziness, small children, the entire S Squad, and lots of bread.

This month was doing ministry with just my team of seven, and we worked exclusively with college students.

Here are just some highlights from the shortest month in history:

-I stood in the middle of the earth

-I shared the Good News with dozens of college students

-I grew in boldness and as a result, had many incredible spiritual conversations

-I had the privilege of leading my first person to accept Christ (!)

-My Spanish got a LOT better

-My team grew a lot closer

-I went to a salsa dance club

-I learned many evangelism starters like Soularium, Perspective Cards, and The Four

-I made lots of Ecuadorian friends with whom I hope to keep in touch!

-I learned a bit more about my Spiritual gifts and how to begin to walk in them

In summary, I’m not quite ready to leave this city and its super long bus rides (to go five miles!), or its beautiful, friendly, welcoming people.

Please be praying for safe travels to Peru on Thursday and Friday!
