I haven’t posted on here in a while, so I thought I’d give a quick update on all things World Race..
For starters, I’m officially less than $1000 away from meeting my first goal! That is ALL thanks to my supporters out there, you guys blow me away with the amount of love and support you give me! THANK YOU!
With that being said, I still have a VERY long way to go with fundraising. My second goal is a lot sooner than I want it to be… I am needing to reach $7500 by June 12! That’s not a lot of time at all, but I’m confident that the Lord will always provide for me! I ask that you open your heart and ask God if there is any way you can jump on board by financially partnering with me this year.
TRAINING CAMP is in only 72 days away! TC is the time when I will get to finally meet the amazing people on my squad that I’ve gotten to know a little bit over the past few months. It’s also the “final part of my application” where they will determine if I am physically, spiritually, and mentally prepared for what I’m about to get myself into. From what I’ve gathered it’s going to be a lot of hiking, camping, community and praising the Lord! It’s going to be hard but I’m honestly so excited and can not wait to jump on a plane to Georgia!
Lastly, the official Launch dates have been revealed! *Jumping and Squealing in excitement* I will be heading to Atlanta either June 27 or 28 (depending on the role I will be playing within my squad) and flying over to Albania soon after to begin Month 1 of what I’m predicting to be the hardest, worst, best, most fantastic, shortest, longest, self-revealing, friend-making, miracle-watching year of my life!!
If you can’t tell….I’m really excited! 😀
A few things to be praying for…
1. Please be praying that the Lord will continue to provide the money for me to go on this race. On top of the $16000 goal I have a few items of gear that need to be purchased, plane tickets to and from both training camp and launch as well as extremely pricey travel vaccinations I’ll be getting in the next few weeks. If you feel led to not only provide a donation to the overall goal but also to help out with any of these things, please please don’t hold back. I seriously can use all the help I can get. Thank you so incredibly much in advance!
2. Please pray for me as an individual. This year is going to be one full of lessons to be learned and where my faith will be stretched and tested. I didn’t however think it would happen before launching. Fundraising is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done and it’s been really taxing not just spiritually, but also physically. Please pray for me to keep my head up, eyes focused on the prize and to not let small things get me down. The Lord is my strength and my provider, and that’s all I need to rely on.
