THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED ME

I can’t thank you enough for the support that I have been shown In this season. The way the Lord called each of you to support me on this journey and send me off in such a loving way. As you all came around me to make this happen, I was able to see that this was something that the Lord was fully calling me to. It was so incredible to have my community come around me and join me in this journey that the Lord paved in advance for me.

I have realized that the things I thought I was sacrificing and leaving behind are definitely not half the battle I thought they would be. I enjoy living this simple life. Thank you for all the prayers and encouragement, the Lord has blessed me with such a covering of peace and comfort in this time.

I pray that the Lord would continue to bless each one of you.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:

‘They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.’

Now he who supplies seed to the sewer and the bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”

2 Corinthians 9:8-10

Because you helped make this possible, we have been able to provide English classes to our children that live in the village we serve at. Ellie and I taught 4-6 grades (our class above). We went through many different lessons and really got to spend time investing in these kids lives. They are all so special to our hearts. We just finished lessons at the school because it ended about a week ago, they are off for about two months. I would ask you all to pray for them, that they would continue to seek the Lord and began to dream about their futures. Our prayer is that these kids will go far and grow into strong leaders for their community, living lives that glorify the Lord.

COOKING CLASSES

We have been able to continue with a Ministry that groups before us had started in this little village. Cooking classes have been an incredible and intimate time where we partner with women in the community that are willing to teach us how to cook an authentic Guatemalan meal.

The first one that we had was with a sweet, strong and wise little lady. We met her one day when we were visiting the clinic and asked her if she would teach us how to make atol (or Central American hot cocoa as Sadie says). Atol is a a hot corn drink made with sweet corn, water, cinnamon, and sugar.  It was such a beautiful time to just be in her presence and pour truth over her.

The next cooking class that we had was with the pastor and his wife. We went through the process of killing chickens and cooking them into a soup. It was defiantly an eye opening experience and we were just able to realize how good we have it, everything right at our finger tips. They really blessed us with so much, they  defiantly are in the position of our Guatemalan grandparents.

We have had the opportunity to do a couple more cooking classes. Go see Ellie Millers YouTube for a vlog that goes through a typical day on the field with team Ekklasia.

Endless thanks for making all these relationships possible. I am so in love with this place, with these people.

The incredible views & endless adventures that we have gotten a chance to experience. Yesterday we had the opportunity to hike up an active volcano and roast marshmallows over lava. INCREDIBLE.

YOU ALL I DON’T EVEN HAVE WORDS FOR HOW THANKFUL I AM FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT. please continue to pray for me and what the Lord is doing in my life. And please continue to pray for the amazing seeds that the Lord is helping us plant here in Guatemala. We are all so excited for everything that is happening in GUAT.

Let me know if you have any questions about anything and everything that is going on in Guatemala or just the race in general. I would love to do a blog that answers all your questions! ask away.

miss you all & much love.
