So I’m finally uploading a video! No it’s not about training camp…my video camera broke with the tape stuck in it so the training camp video will have to wait until I get a new camera 🙁  This is a video I made about India.

My friend Dennis is an amazing writer and musician. He went to India with me last Christmas. While he was there in March 2007, he gathered poems that the kids wrote and turned them into songs for them. He shared the songs with the kids last Christmas when we went.
The song on this video is based off a poem by a boy named Thangboi.  He wrote this poem about when he was 9 years old. It was a story about his life. At one point in his life, his mother sent him to live with his Aunt because she could not care for him any longer and she was more wealthy. During his stay with his aunt, there was tribal warefare that was killing some of the villagers so his aunt sent him back home.  Exposure to the good life got him complaining to his parents about being poor so his mother sent him to the orphanage at Emmanuel.

Please listen to the lyrics as they are very powerful coming from a 9 year-old boy. If you know this kid, you know that he loves the Lord with all his heart. The video and pictures were taken while I was in India, and the voices are of people who have been to India. Also, please be advised that there are some semi-graphic images of leprosy and poverty.

Enjoy!!
