At the beginning of the month we made about joke about our our team kept getting injured, and our video for the month would have to be titled “Spectacle Does the Malaysian Hospital.” Little did we know what we were speaking over ourselves. Everyone except for Dave ended up at the clinic or hospital; this month (and Dave did his time in Haiti!). From Sea Urchins stuck in our foot, to falling through roofs (Yes, Rachel fell 25 feet through the roof), and infections, to ankle problems, this was an intense first month of leadership for me. We decided to do a team-wide fast from the internet to gain unity and brokenness. Now we know that God answers prayers…just not always in the way we want them answered!
We worked with a drop-in center for the homeless this month in Penang, Malaysia, and had a great time.
