There’s a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into
making the World Race run smoothly. From logistics to purchasing airline
tickets, leadership and admissions, there’s a good deal that even World Race
participants don’t see. One of the most honorable things about this
organization is the way they take care of their leadership. The theory is, if
leaders are healthy they can pour into those under them and it goes down the
line. They understand kingdom authority and put it into practice throughout the
organization. I’m a firm believer that if you want to have authority, you need
to be under Godly authority, and the authority that squad leaders are directly
under is a department within the World Race called Field Support. From
acceptance as squad leaders to transitioning new leaders in month 4, their job
is to be there for us and set us up to be as successful as possible. Tim and I
were incredibly blessed to have Andrea Wendel assigned to ouR squad. Andi was
on the January 2008 World Race squad and joined staff with AIM shortly
thereafter. She’s encouraging, discerning, and absolutely carries the DNA of
heaven.
Words cannot express what Andi has done for me over the past
few months. She has walked me through tough situations, helped me deal with
conflict, called me out in a loving way and encouraged me to be who God created
me to be. I’ve been able to glean from her wisdom and the peace of she carries.
Most people will never know the amount that Andi poured into me during my time
of leadership. Even I don’t know the extent to which she interceded and fought
for us, which makes the job all the more honorable. Their role to the
organization is vital in keeping leadership healthy, so we are able to transfer
that to our squads.
So this is to you Andi and the Field Support Department.
Although your work and prayers may seem to go unnoticed to some, your heavenly
rewards are so great, and you will truly reap in the blessings and inheritances
of these squads.
If you’ve supported Andi in the past, thank you for allowing her to bless me and others on the field. We could not do it without her! You can check out the incredible work Andi is doing here!
