At the end of February AIM gave us our ministry options for
Thailand, and the Spectacle girls sure we were being called to work with  a prostitution ministry in Bangkok. We
had it all planned out.

He knew what was best for us.

Then in mid-March, Jenny Brown, our squad leader, came to us and said that we were no
longer able to do the ministry in Bangkok because it was full. Immediately I
was angry at AIM for not booking it sooner, and upset because all the past
World Race teams had been there and said it was an amazing ministry. She said
that SHE in Phuket was open, but only 7 girls out of the 39 would be able to
go. My heart sank because I had a huge desire to do ministry with these girls who constantly give their purity away because they see no other option.

He knew my heart’s desire.

Our squad leaders prayed intensely about which girls would
go to which ministry in Thailand, and at debrief in Cambodia, I found out I was
one of the seven going to SHE in Phuket. When we got there, our team was split into two smaller teams that would go into the bars together, and I became part of “Team Victory,” including Holli Lewis, Ashley Harris, and Taryn Mast.

He knew where I needed to be this month.

Halfway through our time at SHE, riots broke out in Bangkok
right where we were supposed to be staying. The death toll was estimated at 80
people at least, and a lot of the city was shut down. That was where I was
“supposed to be” instead of SHE.

But He knew where He wanted me.

Our first night out at the bars Holli and I met two girls,
Jeap and Ice. We immediately knew there was something special about Ice and the
bar she worked in, and went back there every night after that to build
relationships with those girls. Two days later, we brought three girls from
that bar to lunch at our house, where they were presented with the option to
work at SHE instead of prostitution. A week later, on April  15, Ice told Holli and I that she
wanted to come to SHE. She would move in the next day. She has brought me so much
joy this month as I watch her beautiful heart, that is being restored.

He knew this would happen.

If I hadn’t come to SHE I wouldn’t have met Ice and my life
wouldn’t have been turned upside down by the girls I met on Bangla Road.

But He knew.

Tonight I had to say goodbye to girls at six bars, whom I
love dearly. It’s 3 am, and as I sit here and reflect on my time at SHE, I
can’t imagine being anywhere else this month. From getting to know the girls on
my new team and Mark and Sharon the founders of SHE, to falling in love with
the girls on Bangla Road, to nights of endless prayer; I can see exactly how
God provided for my every need and met all the desires He put in my heart.

He is the God who knows.

declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to
give you hope and a future.”

He knows.
