Africa when a week ago I told you I was on my way to Mozambique. Well, I still
am on my way to Mozambique, it’s just taking a little longer than we thought.
I’ll give you the brief version of the story, but read Dave Brown’s account of
Gods faithfulness and perfect timing as our squad waits in South Africa.
The night before we flew to Joburg we didn’t know what wouldhappen when we got here. We had no place to stay and no one to pick us up from
the airport. At the last minute, God hooked us up with a hostel and we stayed
there for two nights. After three days in Joburg we still had no transportation
to Mozambique and the hostel was booked so we had to relocate. God lead us to
this wonderful house four hours north of Joburg called “Betor House”, where we
have been since Wednesday. Through various circumstances, God revealed to us
that before we can go to Mozambique we need to rest as squad, and spiritually
prepare ourselves for the strongholds we will be facing. Over the past few
days, our squad has become a family. We worshipped together, prayer together,
shared meals together, fasted together, prophesied over each other, and rested.
I believe (and I think most of the squad would agree) that this is exactly
where God wants us to be right now.
As of right now we’re booked on a 20-hour bus ride
Mozambique on Monday. We’ll all be camping in the bush, and since our
transportation costs are so high, we need to live off $4 a day for food,
lodging and transportation. Food is really expensive in Moz, so we will
purchasing our food here in South Africa and bringing it with us. This girl whose
never been camping will be tenting in the bush and eating canned beans for the
month. OK God…it’s time for you to show up and show off!
During our time of rest Blair Brendle organized a Corn Hole
Tournament. Almost the entire squad participated and it was an awesome bonding
time. Special shout out to Nate Chaplin for helping me with the video also. Enjoy the recap!
