This is exactly what it sounds like. The short and sweet facts on what I’m doing and who I’m with.

Who:

At the end of Thailand our squad experienced team changes.  Now, I am on a team with five other women and together we make up Team Cypress. You can check our their blogs if you want a better idea of who they are. I actually don’t think many of them blog much but you can at least see what they look like! We are all very unique but I have felt unity among us from the beginning. I’m excited to see where God takes us in Zambia.

Where:

We are in Livingstone, Zambia in a house with two other teams, Team Alabaster and Elect Exiles. Right now there are 21 of us living together and it’s great. The community is awesome here and I love our house. Also, worship nights and mornings with these people are some of my favorite.

What:

Our ministry is JZone. It is run by our contacts, Sanderson and his wife, Lwendo. Past of their vision is to come alongside churches from any denomination and enable them in their ministry. During the week we do a variety of ministry. Tuesdays we walk to a nearby park and clear away weeds from a racing track and volleyball court. Wednesdays we join a widow’s Bible study in the morning, run Awana in the afternoons, and go to church at night. Thursdays do not have a set schedule but on Friday we spend a couple hours running a program for SOS Children’s Home. SOS houses orphans and children whose parents cannot support them. Usually they come from rural villages. Every couple weekends we head out to a remote village to run kid’s days.

There’s a quick rundown. Let me know if you have any questions!
