A while ago, God told me that there was a connection between Austin
and California. In this vision, I saw myself going to California and
streams of color flowing out of me and into me, exchanging things from
Austin to California, and vice versa back in Austin. Somewhere during
this time, I felt that the number five and January were important. A
while after that, He showed me these flaming arrows that we’re coming
and going from Austin to several places in California. He said that
there was supposed to be a partnership between us, a coming and going of
family, love, revival, resources, etc.
I assumed it would happen immediately. Oh God’s timing.
It didn’t happen immediately. Oh God’s perfect timing.
This summer, I spoke with (read: bombarded) a pastor from L.A. by the
name of Shawn Bolz who has a heart for L.A. that feels like my heart
for Austin. They’re friends with Heidi Baker and all those Bethel guys
and other cool mission people that I just adore and they do kingdom
awesomeness in Hollywood and the inner city, while focusing on
injustices and war zones. . I felt God leading me to go talk to him.
(read: I felt like if I didn’t go talk to him I was going to blow up
inside. does this happen to normal people?)
I told them about some of the things that God had showed me and we began a conversation that was sorta like this:
Me: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!JESUS!!!!!!!!!REVIVAL!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE FOREVER!!!!
them: yeah, email us and we’ll see what God does.
Me: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WE’RE GONNA CHANGE THE WORLD! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE IS A DRUG AND A VERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In spite of this, a few months later, they’ve invited me to spend a
couple of weeks with them in L.A. They’re giving me open doors into
pastoral meetings, conferences, and their outreach projects. Aaaaand
they want me to share some of the family + community + lovefest that
Austin does so well with them. How perfect is this?! Maybe they hear
from God too!
I felt like God told me that there were five specific places to go. I
currently know of three: L.A., San Francisco (God’s doing really cool
stuff in that sister city of Austin), and Redding. The other two, well, I
think I’m going to know when I get there. Maybe they’ll be in one of
the cities, or maybe they’ll be different cities entirely. Either way,
it’ll be an adventure. There’s actually several more cool things God’s
shown me, but I don’t want to get into those details yet.
This is an unconventional “mission trip because.. I have no idea
what it’s going to look like. Somedays I may be doing inner city
ministry. Other days, I may be in pastor meetings. Other days, I may be
networking. Other days, I may be in the prayer room. I honestly have no
clue. All I know is that I’m just supposed to go.
So, here’s the dealio: For this to happen, I’m going to need a lot of
prayer and a bit of money. With plane tickets, lodging, gas, renting a
car and food, I’m needing to raise about $1,000 more. I really (read:
REALLY REALLY REALLY) didn’t want to ask people for support because,
well, this is an unconventional mission trip, and I have weird thoughts
about support raising in general but I felt Papa pushing me to ask
people to invest in this.
So, here I am. Trying to listen as best as I can. If you’d like to be
a part of this with finances, you can donate via paypal by clicking

Also, if you don’t want to give me money, but know of odd jobs that
will, let me know. But I’ll only take them if they are like really odd.
(pause for laughter)
Also, if you know of ppl in Cali that I could stay with, well, let me know that as well.
Also, I love you.
