So I totally borrowed this idea from another racer! What an awesome way to get so many people involved at so many levels. The idea is to pick an amount from the box below, and then I will put a big red X over that number. I know what it’s like to feel lead to help, only to talk yourself out of it because you don’t think your contribution will make a difference. I ASSURE you- that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Whether you were the first to make a gift (which by the way, I don’t know who did.. it was anonymous!) and gave me that first bit of excitement, or the stranger who donated a large amount and humbled me to God’s great faithfulness to provide, or any number of my family members who remind me how blessed I am to have such supportive love by blood, or any of the future partners who will help me reach my goal- every. single. bit. is for a specific purpose. His purpose. He is m.o.v.i.n.g. right now- in and through me AND you. I pray you may consider the possibility that God is calling you just as He has called me! I once heard missionary work can be broken down into 3 categories:
- Mobilizers– These are the people who build the fire in their local church, keeping others informed of the needs and opportunities, and helping them get involved.
- Goers– These are the ones called to spend time in another culture, live a different kind of life, and minister face to face with the unsaved.
- Senders– They provide the funds– and more importantly– the prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God’s leading in ministry in these foreign countries. Without prayer nothing will happen.
Maybe you haven’t thought of yourself as part of a “mission team” but should you feel lead to join my team and support me by becoming one of the all important senders, I invite you to decide on your box and click the Support Me! tab at the top of this page, then keep an eye out for me to put the big red X over it! You will be able to follow the progress in my photos section of my blog (and on my Facebook) as more and more Xes appear!
