A quick update on my life:
My team and I spent the month of September in Ethiopia.
Ethiopia is the most generous culture I’ve ever seen, more than any of the other twenty-four countries I’ve been to.
My computer crashed in Romania so I couldn’t blog about it.
Nine days ago I flew back to the US for my brother’s wedding.
Home was good but America is overwhelming and confusing. I just don’t understand how we can have so much excess of material wealth yet so little gratefulness.
And speaking of gratefulness, my heart is overflowing from finally having met my newest niece at the age of four months; being introduced to my sister’s fiance for the first time ever; spending time with all of my family at once; witnessing my little brother becoming a husband; and enjoying “real” food, aka. mashed potatoes and gravy and homemade bread and shoofly pie.
I’m currently sitting in the JFK airport waiting to board my flight to Rwanda to rejoin my team.
I’m exhausted from having spent today galavanting around NYC with my sister and her fiancé, so I don’t feel like writing a legit blog.
I just wanted you all to know I am still alive, still on the Race, and still in need of your prayers- maybe more now than ever. With only seven weeks left, it’s a constant challenge to remain present in ministry, prepare my heart for the uncertainties after the Race, and trust God in all of it.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your love and support. You are vital in my life. You are vital in building the Kingdom.
So thank you.
