Oh how do I put so much from a great month into one blog?!?! I can’t, so I will break it in two. This first one will include (drumroll, please) a highlight video, by the awesome Diane Kelly (check out her blog and support account at http://dianekelly.theworldrace.org/), of our time in Uganda. The 2nd blog will include my highlights and perspective of the month!

Arriving in Uganda after a long flight, I had a bit of a stinky attitude about being in Africa, only because I loved Asia so much and didn’t want to leave Vietnam. But, by the end of the month, I would say (and I say this at the end of every month) but I really think this was my favorite month! The opportunities and openness we had to do ministry was incredible!

After an incredible debrief at the Nile River in Jinja, Uganda (Where we went white water rafting on the Nile- #nobigdeal), we arrived at Wakiso School of Hope, our home for the month. We quickly realized that this is a month that we don’t have a schedule made for us and we’re going to have to design our own ministry. The month was just full of incredible people, relationships, and experiences: so I am just going to highlight a few things in my next blog.

There have also been a couple of really hard things that happened this month. Jim Campbell, one of our Squad’s coaches and a spiritual Father to us, passed away on Christmas Eve very suddenly. Pray for his lovely wife, Sammeye, and their children as they adjust to his passing, and for our squad- we will miss his Papa hugs when he comes to visit us. The time has also come for new squad leaders and team changes and my team, Boldly Present lost an important member of our team. Pray for us as we adjust to these changes, that we can make the most of the situation.
