Hey friends! April has been a fun month! The beginning of the month we had a giant team scramble- so the team that I had for the first 7 months of the race was changed! I love my new team L-Dubs (aka lovewell) as much as I miss my old team Same, Same But Different! It has been a change being on a team with all girls, but it has been so much fun!

This month Team Lovewell is staying at Hope for the World Center. This is a home for High School aged students to stay after they move out of the orphanage system. Currently, there are 10 teenagers staying here, and we get to hang out with them! We love this great group of young people and every time we return home after a long day we are all excited to see ‘our kids’!

We have made many trips back and forth to Tirana, the capital of Albania, and each day there are a variety of tasks we can help with. We jokingly call ourselves ‘the housewives’ because we have many opportunities to practice that this month- cooking,  baking, cleaning, planting flowers, and playing with the kids in the orphanages. Helping out at the church, meeting the church people and helping a Pastor who is starting a new church have also been a part of the great experiences we are having!

One of the top ten on my ‘Places to Visit’ is Greece! And I got to check that one! Probably the best vacation I have ever been on! We took the ferry (think submarine) across to Corfu, Greece! We enjoyed exploring this beautiful, old city, shopping for souvenirs and wonderful Greek hospitality! The highlight for me was seeing the Greek hero, Achilles’ Palace. My team mate, Ashley and I missed the bus going out and we were told it was to far out of the city to walk to, about 9 km! Well, we started walking and eventually, wouldn’t ya know it, Kostas picked us up and gave us a lift to the top of the hill were the palace is!

Albania has been a great month, and in a week we will be flying to Central America! It is so hard to believe that I only have 3 more months left on the race. Please pray for me that I can ‘give it my all’ in these months and that I would find direction regarding my future.

A huge thank you for supporting me in this journey. I could not be here without you and I value your love and prayers more than anything. I am so close to being fully funded! I only need about $250 to be fully funded! If you are interested in helping me reach that goal, follow the Support Me link on the side of this page and send me quick message with how much you would like to donate. Thanks!

Blessings!!!
