While in Romania I got to meet one of the most amazing women I have had the honor of meeting on the race. Florina is a Romanian woman with a beautiful heart and love for the people of her country who several years ago moved to Dragenesti to work with Hope Church

I asked Florina if I could share about her ministry and some of their needs. God is using her and her family in mighty ways in her community

As a missionary to the area Florina has several ministries that she works with and is helping with one of church's that Hope church has planted in village near her house. Her husband Mark is an evangelist originally from England; he shares in preaching at their church and also stays at home with their two boys.

Life as a missionary is very full for Florina. It was a blessing to get to work with this family and experience life as a missionary in Romania.

Every Saturday (with the exception of holidays and special events) she leads children's ministry. There are about 20-30 children who come to the church each week for games, songs, and a Bible lesson. Florina desires that some of the older children would be able to work in the ministry, and is currently mentoring four girls: Gabi, Larisa, Nicoleta, and Miriam.

We spent one Saturday after helping with the ministry; here are some pictures of our kids time.

Please pray for the kids camp August 18th – 23rd: the ministry is in need of funds for the camp, pray for the program that it would be well organized and that many kids would attend. Also pray for kids that they each have a heart change and come to Christ.

We were also able to spend some time with Mark going out into the streets and handing out pamphlets to fisherman, and in the village neighborhoods.  When there are not teams available to go out with Mark into the streets he takes their son David with him.  David is only 3 years old but the people warm up quickly to him and his ability to speak to them in Romania, the father and son make a great team.

Florina also leads the Ladies ministry. She currently has personal/ one on one Bible studies with three ladies names Maria, Nuti, and Illeana.  Pray for these woman that their hearts would be opened to the word of God. Along with the one on one studies, there are several ladies events that she helps lead.  They had a large event this past year that about 200 women attended and they hope to hold more events throughout the year. Pray for the team that plans these events and for those who attend- for their salvation.

Another great project for the ladies is knitting.  This project is a great blessing for the ladies who are not able to go looking for a job or are having a difficult time finding a job nearby.   By knitting the ladies are able to work from home, provide a small amount of income for the family and be with their families.

Florina also asked for prayer the finances to come for a minibus.  Currently, the family has a station wagon that they use to transport which at times can require many trips back and forth to the church.  They are in need of 1500 euros or a little less than $2100.  Please pray for guidance and the right minibus. They need it very much in the ministry.

Thank you for reading Florina's story and for her praying for her and her family and the ministry that God has given her to steward.
