On Wednesday morning I was walking up the steep path of an active volcano. The rocks were slipping under my feet, the sun was burning my skin, my arms were aching from carrying a heavy board at my side, and my muscles were screaming at me. I lifted up my head and beheld the beauty that surrounded me, and all of those things, all of those pains just melted away. I saw the stark contrast between our black charcoal mountain, to the green hills that surrounded it. I could see the Pacific Ocean in the distance and the rain clouds all around us. The landscape went on for miles and miles. That is what the beauty of God is. I felt invincible as I climbed up a volcano to board down it. I kept singing “I will climb this mountain with my hands wide open.”
I came to a realization there on that mountain, that with God all things are possible! In the last week and a half I have lived at the base of a volcano, I have fed a monkey, I have shared parts of myself that I have never shared before, I have climbed an active volcano and slid down a steep grade on a wooden board at 27 kmh. I have ridden on the back of trucks at full speed, played softball with some Nicaraguan children, seen Jesus in locals, been through an earthquake, ridden in the back of a truck in the pouring rain! And I have fallen in love with a place called Granada, Nicaragua! God is doing so much here in this city that I feel him everywhere we go! I see him in every place, every situation! I cannot wait to see what powers he posses and how he will keep working here in this place!
Thank you for your support! In the next two months I still need to raise over $2,000 to reach my next goal and I encourage you to pray about it and see if you are able to help me financially! You can help by donating a set amount each month, or just one donation one time! Either way it helps me continue on this amazing adventure seeking out the heart of God! God Bless you!
