Okay Now I get to tell you about Precious
Oh my Precious! She was a beautiful jewel of God! She loved so deeply and served well. She was always making sure that we were okay, and she was always one to sit down and just start telling you a story. Whether it was about herself or someone else, she longed for me to know her. She was missing her two front teeth, and several others besides, but that didn’t make her smile even more bright! Whenever I told her she was beautiful she became shy and said no she couldn’t be pretty without teeth. I told her that its not what’s on the outside that makes someone beautiful its what is on the inside that shines out. She had the most beautiful aura! She was always there with a joke to make you laugh, scented vapors to rub on your hands when you weren’t feeling well, a story just because. One day she pulled me aside and asked if I wanted to go to the corner store with her. As we walked she said that she just wanted to spend time with me alone because she knew that we didn’t have much longer together! I loved Precious so much because she always showed love towards me when I didn’t even know that I needed it. When I wasn’t feeling well she made me food without asking, and then gave me a backrub to help me feel better! These girls, who’ve been through hell and back, serve and love better than anyone I know!
Precious taught be to never overlook someone. To always love no matter how you feel. Precious taught me that everyone is important and deserves to be served and loved.
And now….. Sara!
Sara was a 16 year old WOMAN. I call her a woman because she has been through way more than me, she has so much more wisdom than me, and she in every way is more a woman than girl. She has a desire to learn and to finish school so that she can make good money. Despite her past and the way her family has treated her, she still loves them so much it hurts. She talks about her story and her family often. You can hear the painful love behind her words. Her heart is the biggest heart I’ve ever seen. She loves beyond anything I have ever seen. We only knew her a few short weeks, yet she considered us best friends and sisters, and when we left, she cried hardest of them all. It was so hard yet so beautiful to see. She is so funny. She seriously makes me laugh ten times a day! She does this weird monkey dance that no one really understands! its so funny! She sings at the top of her lungs and dances around as if no one is watching. She has false teeth and dentures so she’ll take them out just to scare people! I can’t believe the things she’s gone through in just 16 years, and meeting her I know without a shadow of a doubt that her past does not define her, she is exactly who she is for God and God alone, no one else will tell her who to be!
Sara taught me about joy! Joy can be found anywhere at any time. She also taught me about painful love. love that exceeds so much understanding and hurts so bad! I want to love so deeply like Sara does that it hurts! So that I can physically feel my heart breaking! To love so deeply is a beautiful gift! Thank you Sara for giving me that piece of yourself!
I wish with all my heart I could write 1000 blogs and tell you about every single girl, but alas I cannot. If any of the girls are reading this though I want you to know that I loved you soooo much and I miss you greatly!! These girls are representing all of you! They are all my sisters now!
