“26 letters humanly combined, cannot define the love he has for us.” – unknown.

Of what can I sing that would please you? What can I say that you want to hear? What can I do that you would love me more? This is not possible. Your love is enough. Your love is not wanting. Your love is pleased with everything I sing. Your love wants to hear everything I say. Your love is there no matter what I do. What does it mean to be the child of a King? What can I feel about being your prized possession?

Joy! I can feel joy. I can feel your love and joy when I look into the face of the handicapped children at Bykota house. I can feel your love and joy when I’m spending hours a day cutting out Hello Kitties for a birthday party for a 1 year old and 5 year old who both deserve a grand celebration. I can feel your joy and love as I wake up way earlier than I ever want to, just to spend some time in Your Word, and eating breakfast with my World Race family, team 26 Letter Redemption. I feel your joy and love as I cook dinner and eat it with my team. I feel your love and joy as I ride in a tuk-tuk and pass dozens of homeless people on the streets of Cambodia. I feel your love and joy as I walk through a memorial for the Cambodian genocide that happened in the 1970s. You are boundless, your love reaches beyond the regions of the world. Even in the midst of tragedy you show your face. In the middle of destruction, you are only stronger, because something has be stronger than evil. YOU are the strength that is needed.

This month things have really changed a lot. My team has changed. I am now on 26 Letter Redemption, an awesome mix of 7 very different people. I am so excited to see the things we can accomplish together. We are working at Bykota House in Cambodia this month. An awesome Children’s Home in Phnom Penh. I have the privilege of doing physical therapy with 4 great kids who have special needs from Cerebral Palsy to Autism. Every day I get to see the face of Jesus shine through their innocent smiles. Every Day I get to help a child become a better version of themselves. Additionally I am also helping the director in the afternoon design and organize the art corner of their school! I get to use the gifts God has given me to give back to others who are doing work for the kingdom! The family dynamic here is incredible and encouraging to see, to see a family who loves well! We watched a film called “Finding Home”, a documentary made about sex trafficking in Cambodia. We were able to meet the girl from the video, Sophorn, and ask her questions about her story. Each month I feel more and more drawn towards that kind of ministry, and I can feel God working on my heart.

In Cambodia I feel so refreshed! I feel like I’ve taken in a breath of fresh air. I feel like God is speaking to me in so many aspects. I can’t wait to listen more to see what else he has to tell me. This month I know that I am going to grow more and more, closer and closer to Him. Here’s to a new month and the beginning of a new ME!
