I am a Child of God! When I was little I had big dreams! I wanted to be a musician, an artist, a doctor, an olympic gymnast, a writer, a teacher, an actress, an olympic swimmer, an explorer, a world traveler, a missionary! What I didn’t understand was that God gave me talents and dreams, and He would allow them ALL to come true! Okay maybe not the olympic athlete or doctor, but everything else! God knows my heart and my plans and He has His own plans about how I will use my gifts!
I am a musician. I play the flute and piano, and recently God has given me the heart for leading worship, which I NEVER thought I could do! EVER! But God’s plans are bigger than me and he has made that possible!
I am an artist. I don’t just draw and paint because I want to, I do it because I need to! I have pictures inside my head and they need to break free! I love to create new crochet patterns as well, and have found my talent and passion for crochet! God has used my crochet to help me in my fundraising as I make and sell hats, scarves, skunk hats, bible covers, you name it!
I am a writer. I have always been better at expressing myself through writing. Not only that, but I have stories and characters and things inside my head that will not leave me alone until I write them! I have recently found “my story”, the one that I feel like I was meant to write, and I have faith that God will have great plans for it!! Hopefully bringing others to himself through my work!
I am a teacher. Not in the literal sense but in the fact that I have a passion for kids. I love to work with kids of all ages, from infant to teenagers. I love watching them learn, and love watching them grow. But mostly I LOVE teaching them about God and his love and watching them grow closer to him! God is great, and he asked us to have faith like a child. I learn and teach this as I watch kids learn and teach me.
I am an actress. In high school I enjoyed participating in plays, and acting in History Competitions. I have not done much since then, but I still have that love and desire inside of me to someday be part of something, whether its auditioning to be a Disney Princess in the Disney parks, or to be in an actual play, or whatever it may be, God has his plans and talents for me.
I am an explorer. I love to learn new things, to go new places! Whether its just going camping near home, or working on board the Disney Cruise Line and traveling around the Caribbean, or traveling to 11 countries in 11 months, I love to explore! I love learning about new cultures and seeing God working in the Nations!
I am a missionary. I love God! He loves me! I love my friends! God loves them too! I want, no I NEED to share the love of God with other people! I need to share the Joy he gives me, and his goodness!
