One of the things we do as a team is ask random questions to get to know each other. It’s a good way to pass the time while washing dishes or riding a bus. The other day the question was posed: who is your favorite kid? Man. That’s hard. So I thought.

When we first heard that our team is going to an orphanage, I claimed the babies and toddlers. I love holding babies. The little ones just pull at my heart strings. Amy challenged me not to pick an age group until I got to the orphanage. I’m pretty sure I gave her a look because I didn’t like her challenge but knew it was a good one. When we got to the orphanage and met all the kids, none were under the age of 5. There went my claim on babies and toddlers. Funny, God.

I spent the majority of my time with all of the girls, picking lice and nits. Outside of that I played on the playground with the boys or watched them climb trees like monkeys. There was also some tickling and chasing. Without realizing it I met Amy’s challenge and spent time with almost all of the kids. So when it came time to choose my favorite…I love them all! How could I possibly choose?
