This month it has been wonderful to build relationships in our ministry. But we also have had the opportunity to meet people in this beautiful city we are living in, and build relationships with them. In fact, tonight we were able to go to a friend’s house. Liz met him while having coffee with Megan, one of our squad leaders. They were able to talk to him a while, and found out that he was a Christian, too. He then invited our whole team over for dinner.

We went over, and he had just gotten done with work. So we all pitched in and made dinner together. It was so fun to just work together, and laugh and have a good time as a team, with our new friend. It was especially nice since this month we are working at a few different ministry sites, so we don’t see each other a lot of the day. We had some great “convivium” as my dad would say! We talked about all kinds of things, while we cooked, listened to music and worked. We made spaghetti and garlic bread. An easy meal, but it was cooked with so much love, and it tasted amazing!

It was a wonderful relaxing time. But it was something more than that to me. This year I am learning so much more about relationships and how to grow in them. This night showed me how easy it is to have people for dinner parties, and just spend some great quality time together. It gave me confidence for the future, wherever I may be, that I can do this too. I look forward to cooking with my family and friends, enjoying life together!

It was a great night for our whole team. I know when I left, my belly was full. But more importantly, my soul was filled up with how God moved through this time of growth and love.
