I am thrilled to announce that I have met my first financial deadline of $5,000 early! The Lord has been providing above and beyond with finances, gear, and connections with World Race Alumni. Thank you so much to everyone who has given! I am blown away by the support of family, friends, and others who I have had the privilege of meeting this summer while working at Wind River Ranch. It means more than you will ever know to have your support as I embark on this adventure and calling on my life. Praise God for all that he has done through you!

I realize that some of you may not be aware of what I have been doing for the past 4 months. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work as a wrangler at a Christian guest ranch in Colorado until October. It has been a challenging and exciting experience! I have definitely been pushed outside of my comfort zone. Before I came here I knew pretty much nothing about horses; going from that to leading trail rides and training horses has been a very humbling learning experience. I have asked probably 100 questions but have such great coworkers who are always willing to help me and show me the ropes. The Lord has been using this experience to prepare me for the World Race:

  1. Living in community with the same people that you work with day in and day out is hard. A healthy community requires a lot of communication, a lot of grace and a lot of honesty.
  2. If I can go 5 months without seeing my family in person then what’s another 6?
  3. I serve with the Lord’s strength for His glory. I don’t get the glory, He does!
  4. It’s better to be honest with someone from the beginning than to hold onto something and let it ruin your time serving.

Thank you again for your support and prayers! I am getting more and more excited as January draws near!
