Just two days ago…or was it yesterday… I wrote to you letting you know an update about my life. I had a scratchy throat and would sneeze a little more often than usual, but thought nothing of it.
TODAY, it is 2 in the afternoon I am still in my PJ’s downing water like I want my insides to be swimming, alternating between gargling salt water and spritzing chloraseptic, taking zinc, downing an airborne, and having just taken two teaspoons of Tussin (Not to be confused with Robitussin, all the active ingredients half the price, Thank you Publix grocery store!).
It’s amazing what can happen in a day.
Yesterday, felt a little ill, canceled a few things, thought I would get a good nights rest and be done with it. Today, debilitated, barely able to focus on a podcast because of the tiny man in my sinuses who is pounding to get out. Don’t worry, Tussin will take him out.
Here’s the point of me telling you all of this. We don’t know what tomorrow holds, we can prepare for it, pray for it, worry about it, but that’s not going to change what happens tomorrow. What’s incredible is that I am currently still living in community, such a blessing, and this is an opportunity for me to swallow my pride and ask for help.
Because we don’t know what tomorrow brings, we need community, people who will pray with us, fight along side us, weep with us, and when needs by go to the store and buy us some Tussin. Me, you, none of us were meant to go through this wonderful adventure called life alone.
So enjoy today, prepare for tomorrow, and be someone that will be there for others, and allow others to be there for you. That’s the lesson of the story, that and moisturize that area under your nose after you use a tissue.
Thanks for reading! I hope that God uses this to bless you, and if not, at minimum it gave you a smile, and something today will fill you with His love.
