We’ve been on the road for roughly 3-ish weeks. Suzy, Chip and I are recruiting for Adventures in Missions at Christian music festivals all over the country. I didn’t know these existed two years ago, and now I’m at them, talking to people, and witnessing the body worship in a number of different ways.

I’ve been to music festivals before, and there are similarities, and there are differences. One of the differences is there are families, there are piercings, tattoos, strollers, groups of middle aged people, youth groups, older people, everyone. It’s the church coming together. These aren’t marketed for any one specific demographic. They are for everyone.

They are pretty “granola” I guess, whatever that phrase means. I love granola, so I mean, count me in.  Our “neighborhood” is under a tent or in the air-conditioned building (praise God) with all the other venders. I typically name the rows (Awesome Avenue, Bad A** Boulevard, Too Cool For School Drive etc.) we’re all set up on.

This is my favorite part, to see all the different body parts of the church body. I mean come on! There’s several colleges, non-profits, it’s people using the gifts that God has given them to bring glory to God.  They’re not doing anything that any of us couldn’t do, they’ve been inspired, and they’ve moved to action and now sharing it.

As someone who has witnessed wasted talent first hand and been called out on it, this is inspiring. It’s beautiful to see what God accomplishes when all we have to do is obey and trust Him. That’s it. Believe that He is who He says He is and that He’ll do what He says He’ll do.

We have a few more weeks on the road and then it’s back to Gainesville. Like all trips I pray that I wouldn’t be the same person I was before it. God uses travel to mold us and shape us. I pray also that we as the body would stand in the gifts that God has given us fearlessly.

Thank you for reading, God bless.
