Even though it is friggin hot out and we are all covered in sweat and blisters, Christmas has come to us all here in Mozambique. We have spent the past week pulling, hoeing, raking, and getting really dirty. None of that stopped us from hanging up our socks and cutting out paper snowflakes and sing Christmas Carols. We can't help but talk about Christmas traditions from home and family. We are discovering more and more that family isn't only who you share blood with but who you would shed blood for. For some of us this is our first Christmas away from home and the familiar faces of loved ones, but we stand in awe of this time of season because of who it is about. We remember that we are celebrating the birth of our Savior. He came down and was born on a not so silent night in extremely humble circumstances because He loves us so much. His love is so friggin overwhelming all you can do is walk around wanting to hug absolutely everyone you see and bump into, whether they are a stranger or a friend. It's Christmas and spreading the joy of His birth is what this season is all about! The joy couldn't be contained, the shepherds couldn't keep it to the themselves, so why should we? Oh so friggin pumped for Christmas!! UGH! IT'S THE BIGGEST BIRTHDAY PARTY ON THE PLANET!! Or, at least it should be. I miss my family, I miss my friends, but love knows no bounds and conquers all. Walk in His Peace, Joy and Love!! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! DANCE! SING! BE MERRY! HE IS BORN!!
