Back in the saddle again. Here I am sitting on the floor of my youth pastor’s office writing up the first draft of a support letter. That’s right, I’m raising support, again. This time the adventure will be leading me down to Gainesville GA! What will I be doing down there? I’m going to be attending THE CGA! I’m pretty excited, a little nervous, but mostly excited. It’s like any adventure, before I jump into it I fret and fret and then get PUMPED and prepped.
I heart the getting prepped part. Not going to lie, I loved going to REI to buy stuff for the race. This is going to be another great adventure, I’m going to be in a learning environment in the morning and then apprenticing at Adventures In Missions in the afternoons. I just, I’m mean, sigh. So excited. This is one of those moments when I feel like a dog who’s just been told it’s time to go outside to play.
Every day God offers us new adventures to bring glory to His name. Most of mine lately have been in The Bed Bath and Beyond (I work in the Beyond, stuff gets crazy). The adventures that have really rocked my world though have come through working with the youth group at my church. No matter what, I always come out having learned so much more than what I bargained for. Keep in mind, I’m a leader with the youth, but that’s just one of the wondrous ways that God works. He teaches the teachers.
I’m so thrilled to be going back into a learning environment and into a community environment. Please keep me in your prayers and I would love any feedback or thoughts! Thanks for reading!!
