Greetings from training camp!
I've only been here a few days but the Lord has been at work on me since I left home. He's been leading me to depend more on him and in his plans for me, starting the moment I got in the car to leave Illinois. I had to depend on him to get me through bad weather, traffic, exhaustion, fear, getting lost and running late. When I arrived here I instantly felt welcomed, members of my squad helped me set up my tent and get acclimated. It's been such a pleasure to get to know the young men and women who I will be traveling with. Each one of them have these incredible gifts from God and it is such a tremendous reminder that we are all gifted in different ways in order to work together to bring glory to God. Our heavenly father has been present not only in our worship sessions but all around camp. I can hear his voice in the prayers and stories that my squad members share. Each of us comes from a different background and it's incredible to see us all coming together for this goal. We're going to be taking the word of God to the people of the word. It's starting to sink in, and it fills me with such joy. I'm so happy that I'll be able to convey my adventures and experiences with you all. It means a lot to me that you're reading this. Thank you so much.
Peace,
Ann
P.S. Yes it did rain and yes I am sleeping and eating well.
