Wake up! It's 7 AM! Brush teeth and pee at the same time, it saves time. Throw on a different pair of pants and two sports bra's. Read "The Upper Room" (Thank you mommy), and prepare for group Bible study around the breakfast table. PRAY! Hard. Sit down and listen to either my teammate or the family we're staying with to share the gospel with us and to listen hard for God's voice to me in it. Eat an incredible breakfast prepared by Ate (pronounced atA) Marina and Ate Helen. Then put on my sunscreen and DEET, which deters mosquitos but not the nasty little ants that love to bite your feet while you're digging. WORK! Find God in every shovel full of thick clay mud, learn about true generosity and humility with every wheel barrow full of mud that's used to level out the ground under the hut around us. Suck down some delicious pineapple juice and gaze at the mountains who's tops are hidden by clouds. Stand in awe of God's creation and the fact that I'm here. Wow, I'm here. Break for lunch, mmmmmm lunch. Thank you Ate Marina and Ate Helen. I think I've gained weight since I got here. then we get a three hour break, which usually consists of me reading my Bible or walking to the beach and jumping into the super salty turquoise and getting battered by the waves. Remind myself not to be like a wave that is easy swayed. Walk back and back to work. Feel a burn in my back that tells me new muscle is forming, and that the pain my savior endured is much much greater. Some of the kids from the village swing by and distract us for a little while. Their laughter and smiles bring even more light to the bright day. Even though they don't understand us and we don't understand them, they still come running up and hold our hands. Remind myself to have faith like a child and get back to work. Dinner!! OH DINNER! After dinner comes free time, where we either come to get some internet or play around with the kids or play games or watch movies. We're usually in bed and dead to the world by around 9. NEVER, EVER, forget to take your malaria medicine with food. Just trust me on this, it's not good. This is my life, AHAHAHAH! A few weeks ago life was pretty different. Every so often I just look up and think "Really God? This is awesome, thanks." I miss you all so much and am praying for you, thank you so very very much for reading. Remember about the malaria medicine for serious.
