Hey everyone!

I have so many blogs to post up so I apologize in advance for the length of these blogs lol! But please do enjoy reading!

Thursday January 17, 2012

For the next few days – Saturday, Sunday and Monday – we
just used the time to figure our logistics and settle into our current home.
Saturday, we went to a place called Pricemart (which was just like Costco)
where I saw my dad’s doppelganger …

That very evening we had a night of crazy revelations about
our entire group and realized over and over again that God had set up this trip
and these moments into motion 4 years ago… its just simply amazing. Sunday, we
went to a church here called Compaz and it was very much like going to a
Pentecostal Malayalee church in NY or TX with a little bit of Latin flair. After
church, I met a little kid named Alan who spoke of a treasure on an island far
away that only God’s people know about and that he would take me if I could
handle traveling by boat. The kid was only 7 — just precious!

Later that evening we had to go to a youth service, very
much like praise and worship nights at Stan’s church in NY and I had to speak
for our team in front of them – there’s been a lot of that lately-definitely
confronting my stage fright head on. Mondays are our off days and we decided to
check out the Pacific at El Tunco beach here… It was beautiful!

I saw real surfers and Rastafarians for the first time! Just
like the movies, haha! We climbed rocks above crashing waves (super-scary),
went fishing and I tried ceviche for the first time. We got delicious smoothies
with Javier and Lupita, met a few aussies and even saw the sunset on the
pacific-my first time and just breathtakingly beautiful.

You can’t deny His magnificence in such beauty. We barely
made it back as the Pacific had swallowed the beach and we had to sneak through
private property to get back to our bus!
