For the longest time, I have been telling nearly everyone that, after the Race, I have no intentions of returning to America. From loose plans to work with friends in Croatia for two to three months before being established as a long-term missionary to traveling Europe until I find a job to support myself, I was determined to not fly back with my squad after final debrief. Why, you’re probably asking? Because I have a heart for systemically oppressed and disenfranchised peoples as well as the European Church. I believe that God has and is equipping me to serve in Europe after the Race.

However, with one recent announcement, I have cracked a window for the option of returning to America. Why, you’re probably asking again? Because I will not have seen my family for nearly a year, I will have no money or viable means to support myself, and if I really want to be obedient to what the Lord is calling me to I have to hold my post-Race future with an open hand, just like my support raising. Don’t get me wrong, I so much want to stay in Europe after the Race. And, if I don’t, I will be praying fervently for the opportunity to live and serve in Europe.

Prayer Requests:

  • The rest of my squad receives the remainder of the funds that they need to continue on the World Race,
  • The two Christmas parties that are happening on Saturday go swimmingly if not better than expected, and
  • Botswana gets all the rain that it needs soon.

Praise Reports:

  • Getting ever closer to reaching my funding goal BEFORE the final deadline,
  • Claire and Gisele have started the process of getting new passports and that my team can retrieve them from the Embassy on their behalf, and
  • Sometimes it takes until the last minute to know and believe that the Lord is working on your favour for His will.
