Hey y’all,
It’s been a weird couple of weeks: I went on vacation with my family to Branson, learned a bit about my first ministry site, and just got my last vaccines earlier today! And, that is a minimized list!
I was contacted by someone I think is a great storyteller and also a WR alum who is my official/unofficial storytelling/videography coach. I was given ~homework~ to find a “vloggy style video” that I loved and then to recreate it shot for shot. *NOTE* I am to recreate the types of shots that are in the video, not to reproduce the content within the video (or at least that is my understanding). In the process of trying to find a video, I landed on this video to recreate.
After analyzing some of the shots within the first four minutes alone, I realized I was going to need to create a video of just me giving context for the rest of the video, at least a minute and a half long. Which is the nature of my vlog, “Going to Branson MO.”
*NOTE* This introductory is not a summary of my trip to Branson; it serves to give context as well as to be used in my next video. Hopefully, I will do the landscape video justice in my recreation of it, either way, I hope you enjoy both videos on my experiences in Branson, Missouri!

Prayer Requests:
- The healing process of one of my squadmate’s family,
- Jesus to make Himself present & known amongst those affected by the riots in Haiti over fuel prices,
- The extinguishing of the fires across the western USA, and
- That all of my squadmates are able to raise enough financial support by July 20 to launch.
Praise Reports:
- We have officially raised nearly $11,800, meaning I will be able to: 1) go to Launch (met the $10,000 by July 20 goal) and 2) on track to meet the next funding goal ($13,000 by September 30),
- I enjoyed my trip to Branson, Missouri, and
- I have been able to use some of the tools that I learned from my time in therapy this past semester to be a better communicator.
