Hey y’all, I just wanted to let you know of a fundraiser that I will be doing in June. It’s called, as you may have figured, Flapjack Fundraiser. This is a fundraiser that will be hosted by Applebee’s (the restaurant franchise). This, I believe, will be a great opportunity to tell many people about the World Race, celebrate my 22nd birthday, and to raise support for World Race. It will be on Saturday, June 16 from 8-10a at Applebee’s on Polaris Parkway in Ohio.
This won’t be my first food-centered fundraiser, but this will be my first hosted by a business. I chose to do this because it has been done, with success, before, and because I want to host another birthday fundraiser but don’t have enough space to do it this year on the scale that I would like to. At Flapjack Fundraiser, each person will have to purchase a ticket to eat a great breakfast: all-one-can-eat pancakes with toppings, 2 slices of bacon, and drinks with free refills.
I also hope to have a few different raffle drawings at the breakfast, and I am asking that you consider donating gift cards or other goods toward the raffle. If you cannot donate toward the raffles, please consider purchasing a raffle ticket or 12. And, most of all, please invite your friends and family because the more people that purchase tickets the more money is raised for my trip. The restaurant can host up to 300 people! So, the more people the merrier!
