I’ve seen this really interesting way to raise financial support, called Adopt the Box. Through Adopt-the-Box, I’m going to create a board with boxes ranging from 1-150; each box represents a dollar amount. The goal is to raise money based on a first come, first serve basis in which one gets to choose the amount that they are donating.
A few of my teammates have already started doing an Adopt-the-Box or other support raising initiatives, and I think that this would be a great way to raise some more financial support, in a way that is a little nicer to the bank account than a large, one-time donation.
I am not sure when I will start this (could be some time next week or for the new year). I will, of course, keep you updated. I plan on updating this blog post once a week but keeping the facebook page up-to-date.
