So for this last week in the Philippines we did: construction, worked in a library, visited a home for girls (Josie’s home) and a home for boys (Children’s Garden). We also gave food to homeless families and those living in needy neighborhoods. In one of the places we stopped there was a group of women who make bracelets and key chains and sell them in markets around the world. One of my teammates and I were able to pray for them and many on my team (including me) bought some of the beautiful items they created.

One other unique ministry I was able to be a part of was going into downtown Manila to teach English to Chinese teachers working in the Philippines. After giving our lesson we were able to celebrate their Mid-Autumn festival with them. It definitely made me think of and miss my friends in China.

We are now in the middle of debrief and will be heading out to Malaysia on October 1.  While in the Philippines my whole squad has been able to stay and work together. From now on we will mostly be divided by our teams and working in various places within each country that we visit. Please pray for:

 –       Safety in travels to Malaysia and to our local contacts throughout the country

–       Continued blessing on the ministries we are now leaving (Kids International Ministries)

–       Continued unity on each team within my squad

–       Health for everyone on my squad. Most of us caught some kind of cold (myself included) and while I am fine now others are still working on getting back to full health.
