Hello Everyone!!!
Sooooo, if you haven’t seen my current Facebook status…I found out today that I’m leaving for Antigua, Guatemala on OCTOBER 2nd!!! That’s only 40 days until I start my World Race adventure for 11 life changing months!!!! It’s really starting to sink in that I’m leaving soon to start my journey throughout the world…
With that being said…I have even MORE exciting news, concerning my fundraising status!!! I checked my account at church…and I have 4,500 dollars in it!!! THANK YOU CHURCH FAMILY FOR BELIEVING IN ME AND MY MISSION FOR THE LORD!!!! On top of that church fund at FPC, my official “Angie Blattner World Race” account online tells me that I have exactly 8,000 dollars in it…bringing my total support to 12,500 dollars!!!! I only have 1,800 dollars to go until I’m FULLY SUPPORTED!!!
God is soooo good for giving me family and friends who believe in me and this mission. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, financial support and encouragement. This has been quite the journey so far, and I know none of this would be possible without the amazing community I am apart of in Greeley, Colorado and at First Presbyterian Church of Greeley.
People can “hate on” Greeley all they want…but I am here to testify that I have never seen a community step up, support, encourage, donate, and love on people more than I’ve seen it done in Greeley, Colorado. While Greeley is a fast growing “Cow Town” of 100,000 people, it still truly has a small town feel, and a community of countless moms, dads, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters that have been such a blessing and inspiration in my life the past 22 years. Thank you Greeley and especially, THANK YOU FIRST PRES!!!!!
Last but not least, my t-shirt fundraiser has started off with a BANG. The first Sunday I sold t-shirts at church I made a $500 profit, and thanks to Doug, the FPC staff and the Missions Committee, I will be allowed to sell t-shirts at the church atrium until I leave. How great is that?!?!? While there are many family and friends that are sporting the epic “Angie Blattner World Race” t-shirts…there are still plenty of beautiful people I know and love that DO NOT HAVE A T-SHIRT. Let’s fix that problem, shall we?? Let me know what size and color t-shirt you want (if you haven’t already done so) and I will make sure I have a shirt with your name on it!! The t-shirts are $20 dollars each, and $15 dollars of that contribution goes directly into my church World Race fund.
I have $1,800 to go everybody…and I know you all will continue to bless and amaze me with your generosity and love!!! Thanks to everyone. I love you all with every fiber of my being, and your support means more to me than I could ever explain in English (or any words for that matter)….
