Hello!! This is my
first blog entry EVER on my World Race blog page…so I’m kind of nervous.
Blogging has been something that intimidates me a little bit, but I figure, the
more I blog now…before the World Race…the easier it will be to blog once I’m on
the mission field. I wanted to share a little about myself and so| I copied the
following from my Facebook “About Me”…I hope this let’s you get to know me, a
future October 2010 racer, a little better…

i love Jesus.
i love people.
Mother Theresa said she saw Jesus in everyone which is why she loved people so much…which is why i think i love people so much.
i have currently been accepted to participate in AIM’s “The World Race” starting October 2010 and I am ecstatic!!
i went to South Africa on a mission trip through Thrive Africa and God changed my life forever through that experience.
i know that God doesn’t always give me the things i want…but he ALWAYS gives me the things i need…always.
i cry whenever i’m truly touched by someone or moved by the Holy Spirit…stick around me long enough and you’ll see me cry plenty.
i grow restless if i’m not being challenged.
i am an expert at creating ridiculously awkward situations at the drop of a hat.
i believe in the power of prayer more and more every day and have been blessed enough to see the Lord do miraculous and powerful things through prayer.
i’m terrified of snakes.
i hate chocolate and pickles.
i love the summer and singing in the shower/car.
my goal for life after “the World Race” is to go to seminary and get my Masters in Divinity and to pursue full time ministry.
my dream job would be to become the Associate Pastor in charge of Youth Ministry and Missions at an EPC church.
i love worship more than anything else in this world.
i adore my God parents.
i love going on runs with my mom.
i once held hands with Ellen Degeneres once after she had just put on lotion and then, after holding hands, I smelled my own hands and told her how good her lotion smelled. Oh yeah…IT HAPPENED.
i have been helping in the Youth Ministry at my church all year and I LOVE it.
i have mild OCD.
i love my Lord, my life, my family, and my friends.
i like to nap.
i once talked my way out of Palestinian authority in Bethlehem, which I think proves that I have a future in international/diplomatic relations.
i get the giggles frequently.
i’m learning to give God complete control of my life because He knows me better than i know myself.
i miss my friends at Biola terribly but i know i am right where i’m supposed to be.
i love UNC and my Communication major.
my heart is in Africa, the people there, and the struggles they are facing everyday.
i’ve walked across and gone through three different countries borders in less than 2 hours (Egypt, Israel and Jordan).
i believe in everyday miracles and practicing random acts of kindness.
i believe everything happens for a reason.
i live with the funniest people in this world and i’m so glad.
i am addicted to coffee.
i went on Semester at Sea this past summer with my best friend Heather and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
i’ve been to 5 out of the 7 continents so far.
it is my goal to visit every continent before i die.
i have the most unlikely and absurd friends but i wouldn’t have it any other way.
i love Renaissance paintings.
i have been known to talk too much, hug a lot, and unconsciously cuddle.
and finally, i have a lot of feelings. 😉
