I am going home from the World Race in a few weeks if I don't raise $1111 by July 1st. I just wanted to write a short list of things I will most likely say if I don’t have to go home from the World Race. So enjoy!
- “THANK YOU JESUS! THANK YOU JESUS! THANK YOU JESUS!!!” This one doesn’t need too much explanation. Just thank you Jesus for allowing me to continue this assignment and journey you have placed me on. As much as I didn't want to go in the first place, I definitely don't want to go home in the middle especially now that I actually want what God has for me. (If you don't understand go back and read my Nicaragua blogs.)
- “Thank you supporters!” Really without people supporting me financially, prayerfully, and emotionally, I would not be able to be where I am now. Thank you for all three of those things above. I obviously still need money to continue so those of you who feel led to give any amount more, thank you! Those of you who have prayed and will continue to pray or read this for the first time and are starting to pray now, thank you! Those of you who send me encouraging messages on facebook, twitter (Angie_Allen, e-mail([email protected]), instagram(AngieluvsJesus) and any other form of media you can find, Thank you!
- “I wish I would quit getting bit by mosquitoes.” I won’t lie, I already say this often! I just having a feeling that African mosquitoes are not going to relent any more than these Asian ones and I will probably utter this statement!
- “I am really glad I was able to go to Africa and see how this continent is so different from all the others.” I definitely have said a similar statement regarding Asia. This continent has opened my eyes to things like sex trafficking, human trafficking, religious oppression, what it means to truly live in poverty without a welfare system, crooked government (not really new, but a new take on it), genocide, living in a village, lack of water sanitation, living without air conditioning when the heat does not relent, and I’m sure there are many more lessons to be learned in Africa.
- “That safari was so amazing!” Definitely one of the things I am most looking forward to in Africa is going on a safari. Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, etc, etc, etc…ahhh, I love when movies become real because you have the opportunity to experience them.
- “We only have three months left?” I already can’t believe how fast this year has went by and I am sure I will say things like this basically every week. It’s crazy how fast time flies when you are on a journey spiritually, mentally, and physically. So many things to work on, things to see, and thoughts to have.
- “I am so glad I didn’t have to go home because I don’t think I’m ready for America yet.” I am already dreading the culture shock that I will go through after 11 months away from the United States. There are many, many things and people I miss in the good ‘ole USA, but after living and thinking about life so differently in most parts of the world, I don’t know if I am ready to drive my own car, take hot showers every day, and join a real gym again. So, please let me just travel for five more months adopting whatever culture I am in and loving people wherever I am at.
- "Watch this video of this kid in the African village I went to dancing to Gangnam Style." It's inevitably going to happen. It has happened in almost every country. This song is so viral. This would be the one statement that I wouldn't mind dropping off the list if it doesn't happen, I won't be upset.
Thank you so much for your support already. One more way you can support me is share my blog with others you know. Tweet it, click share on Facebook, e-mail it, print it out and send it in through the USPS…okay maybe the last one is going a little too far, but I would so appreciate you sharing with others and I will continue to write more and make more videos so you can see how you are partnering with me. Thank you so much!!!
