Hello Everyone! Since I accepted the World Race challenge, I have had a lot of change in my life. I went from living on my own and having a career to living with a lady from my church and substitute teaching. This may not seem like a big change to some, but for independent me who is always trying to move forward, it's been a challenge. I have taken what appears to be a step backwards, but it has been humbling to say the least. Even asking people for money to support me has been difficult. I truly know that the money has to come from others because as you know I am a teacher and that has not allowed the income to really accrue a lot of extra savings.
So, as I am already being stretched, I feel that God is preparing me for this journey in small increments. The closet I am now using is less than half the size of my closet before. I went from having a 2 bedroom apartment with a living room, kitchen, etc. to having 1 bedroom in a house that I am so thankful to be sharing for a little while. I have had car problems and tons of spiritual attacks since I have accepted this assignment, but God is faithful and many other amazing things have happened as well.
So, my first deadline of $3500 is approaching on October 1st and I have not met that deadline yet. I know God will provide, but He has given me a voice to remind those who may have gotten my letter or seen my blog and said, "I want to help, just not yet." to give soon. I have almost $1800 right now and am so thankful for those people who have already given. If you would like to give today, please click on the support me link on the left of this blog.
