Hello Family and Friends!!

I am back from the wilds of China, and I have to say that I have fallen in love with this beautiful country and the people who live within its borders.  I have already volunteered to lead Mom and Dad on a trip back here someday.  I had a chance to call some of you on Thanksgiving, and I am so thankful that I was able to hear your voices.  I am going to do my best to post some blogs and pictures about my time in China.  I wish I could tell you all of the details of everything we did, but in order to protect our contacts, I can’t do that.  My blogs in the next few days will
likely be scattered, and in no chronological order, and I will try to
post as many pictures as possible.

To start with, I am doing well.  I’ve been healthy in all ways; life on the World Race has been amazing!  One detail that is pretty important is that my team is now down to five people.  Joy Nicol, the teammate I spent a many many hours with in the Philippines, left us shortly after we arrived in Hong Kong (the first time).  Our team has done well this month, working well together, and really learning to lean on each other in rough moments.

A note about my future: On Sunday evening, we (the whole squad) are flying through Thailand on our way to Nairobi, Kenya.  We will be in Nairobi for about a week, then the teams will split up into our ministry locations.  Aletheia will be paired with the Transformers for the month.  They are an amazingly chilled out group of people and it should be a good blend.  We are headed for an island somewhere on Lake Victoria to work with children and raise goats, and live without electricity.  I can’t wait!

However, there is a little hitch.  My support has been coming in very slowly.  I really need $500 to come in THIS WEEK so I can head out with my team.  And by Christmas, I need a total of $2000 more.  Despite not having seen news in three weeks, I am aware of the fact that money is tight and getting tighter.  Every little bit helps, so if all you do is give up a couple of cups of coffee for a few days and contribute $5-10 (and you tell all your friends about how awesome this World Race thing is, and they also contribute), it will add up.  Thank you all so much!
