Great question… I currently have been trying to answer the question: WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING?!!?

Still no thoughts and a million thoughts all at the same time on this question.

I wrapped up my season in Ecuador in April and man another hard goodbye was in order. A lot of firsts happened on that trip.

First time leading

First time going somewhere in covid

First squad.. but not my last

Ecuador with my squad was soo soo fun. Everyday we were challenged but we were a group of perseverance and innovation. We figured out how to bring kingdom with what we had and man did we have so much fun doing it.

We painted, we dug, we cut grass, we laughed, we cried, we loved and more than anything, we learned. Learned about grit, the goodness of God, finding him in mundane tasks, learned how to love each other through conflict, and collaborate on ideas.

Everyday felt like learning for me,about the lord, about myself, about the girls and their lives, and about loving people well. It was soo hard at times with sickness and challenges of the enemy, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

And now here I am… embarking on another journey.

This time I’m going back to Guatemala with a group of 23 highschoolers for 3 weeks and IM SO EXCITED.

I love my generation and the one coming up. And I can’t wait to live alongside them for 3 weeks, I’m excited to love them and laugh with them and cry with them, and watch them discover the Lord.

I still believe these generations are pioneers, and world changers and I’m just excited that through and with everything there are still young people willing to go, to serve, to love and to discover the Lord. And I just get to come alongside of what the Lord is doing!!

I’m heading out the 24th of June, so be praying for me and let me know if you wanna financially help me out.

Much love,

Gel
