First, God is absolutely amazing. He brought 23 people from across the country to experience training camp in Gainesville, Georgia, to end up becoming a family by the last day. I am so honored to be a part of this amazing squad that God has put a blessing over since day 1. And I keep saying this, but I really can not wait to spend the next season of life with them.

At training camp I learned:

to be present where my feet are at

to not give Dan 5 hour energy

don’t do the fitness hike in Chacos

sit at a table with Kyle and you will get fed first

always journal!

bucket showers are like living in the year 3000

when you find a nice porch enjoy it, maybe even nap there

always leave your rain jacket in your bag Georgia is moody

worship is better in the rain, and when you are muddy

family is so much more than just blood

walking up those hills gets your legs chiseled

Megan is a friendship bracelet making machine

And finally, I learned that this journey and these people don’t just last for 9 months but a lifetime.

Personally, God started molding and chiseling and shaping me the first day of training camp. Through the 10 days, I allowed God into the “junk drawer” of my heart and he began to deal with things that I thought I had let go of, or things I didn’t even know was there. The Lord began to show me who he is how much he loves me, how much I truly mean to him, and he began to give me a hunger to learn all of the promises he makes to me. He also taught me the beauty of worship. I have always loved worship but to put all if me into worship and God just giving me a new passion to worship is next level!

Training Camp made me so much more excited to go. And these next few weeks up to launch are going to be hard, but I can’t wait to go do what God has and to see how he is going to move!
