The Lord has been telling me a lot about this coming year and just this new decade I’m entering into. He has been speaking to me a lot and leaving me in awe, with Ephesians 3:14-21:

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named…”

I think this part is so cool because I literally get to worship and praise the God who grafted me into his family (Romans) so yea I get an earthly name but because I’m adopted into the family I get a heavenly one too

“that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith,”

I love this for 2 reasons:

1. Gods glory offers us plentiful gifts and blessings that never run out. With him and through him there is always ABUNDANCE

2. This requires intimacy with the father, it requires something of us. He’s putting strength via his Holy Spirit in our inner being where he dwells not only for our bodies, but for our minds our hearts and our spirit. The more we draw close the more we get to experience the blessing of his power and strength

“that you rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with the fullness of God.”

This is my favorite part!

So we share intimacy with God we get to know him and his character and as we do so we get to be grounded in the truth of his love for us, and by the strength and character of the Holy Spirit we can try and begin to understand the enormous deep and fierce love he has for us.

We need the Holy Spirit to walk us through this because Christ and his character is perfect and that’s something our minds cannot understand because we haven’t known anything other than him to be perfect.

And to top it off once we have intimacy and we are grounded, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us through even trying to understand his love, the lord by his great grace and mercy allows us to experience the fullness of his presence.

I love this small chunk of scripture and I love that the Lord is speaking it over me and just speaking through it. I love it because it starts by me coming humbly to the lord recognizing his hugeness, riches, and strength. Then because we have intimacy I get to experience strength through the Holy Spirit and I get to say yes when he wants to walk me through understanding the love of a perfect father, so that I can feel it and recognize it but also sit in awe of the fact that I don’t understand but its still awesome! And then because the lord is a giver, I get to experience fullness and wholeness in him.

I love this because it requires a couple things from me:

It requires my humility to have reverence for the Lord but to also to ask of him, and to realize that my head knowledge is not greater than any revelation the Lord wants to bring me

It requires me to work on my intimacy with the lord

It requires me to expect him to show up and move

It requires my yes, and willingness to allowing him to walk me through what true love looks like

It requires my yes for when he wants to heal my tainted view of love to help me further understand

And lastly it requires my open hands to receive these beautiful blessings from his glorious throne.

These scriptures will definitely challenge me and continue to speak to me, and I pray that wherever you are the Lord will challenge and speak to you too!

I pray fullness in love over each of you in Jesus name!
