Our teams have continued to immerse ourselves into soul refreshing ministry here in Tambo De Mora. We have experienced God showing up in beautiful ways for our new found friends. We have seen tears of sadness turn into pure joy, we watched as God near instantly arranged for the fumigation of a flea infestation in the refugee camp, people have been set free from spiritual strongholds and demons have been cast out. Children have come to life by the care and love of Jesus Christ being expressed through the hearts of some pretty ordinary North Americans. Hope has been renewed for those who have felt weary from their burdensome situations. Our God is BIG and His heart beats for each one of them individually. I have come to love some people as my own family and I have seen the expressions on their faces change as we have shared with them the love of Christ that drives us to them.

Over the past few weeks God has been shaping relationships in Tambo De Mora, we now have 10 days left here and when we least expected it, God has added a twist to things for 5 of us World Racers. Tomorrow morning we will visit a group of people Known as The Canchamana. We will be attempting to live with them and like them from Thursday till sunday. This group of people have the most unheard of story around here. They once lived in Tambo De Mora and their livelihood came from their cattle and other livestock. When the earthquake hit they lost their land but could not move with all the other locals to a refugee camp because of their animals. They have arranged to rent land on a large bluff for their animals for a time period of one year but are not permitted to live there themselves. They have set up make shift shelters on the side of the road. Because of the remote location, these people are between 2 towns, Tambo De Mora and Sunampe. Neither will accept the responsibility for them and therefore have not received any bit of help or AID. They have been forced to sell there their goods at a third of the regular price because they are desperate.

Our hopes and intentions are to speak into their lives hope and love. We hope they will feel the genuine love that we have for them and their situation. We may even try to sell some of their milk for them negotiating a higher price. Sometimes our skin color alone can move mountains. We have no idea exactly what God has planned for the Canchamana people but we are expecting some radical encounters with our Heavenly Father.
Pray for us, we will have no means of communication until Sunday evening. We do not know much else about what to expect for this intense cultural immersion. Pray we don’t get sick, I am sure they will want to feed us using their water that wreaks havoc on our guts. Pray that God will show up in an absolute tangible way that will impact their souls for eternity.
