Several people have been asking me what I have been up the last month and a half (WOW.. thats CRAZY!!) I thought that I would use this blog to share a few of the things God did in Romania!

In Romania, there were many opportunities to serve! A couple days after arriving we went to a farmers market and picked up corn. We shucked it, cooked it and gave it to the gypsy children! We also got to sing songs and share bible stories with the children! I personally loved sharing the Good Samaritan skit with the children! Before leaving we blessed the families with necessary school supplies and hygiene items!

Another ministry from the month was when we went to a disabled children’s home. There were over 50 children of various ages and disabilities. We arrived right before lunch, leaving us with only 30 minutes to spend with all the children. It didn’t take me that long to find a precious little baby. He was about 3 months old and his only challenge a cleft palate.  I didn’t have much time to spend with him because we wanted to spend time with each age group.  After spending time with each child we decided to go buy some balls at a nearby mall, eat lunch and come back after nap time to join the children in recess. We had a blast, and their smiles, giggles and excitement are forever etched into my mind!

At Casa Shalom there was an American staying with us who came with the hopes of adopting a 5 year old little boy with a mild disability. Romania is a closed adoption country so the likely hood of her actually being able to adopt a child was next to impossible. Of course with God all things are possible and at this orphanage she found a little boy and is starting the adoption process of a little 5 year old boy that she fell in love with!  Seeing God show up and make what seemed impossible possible blew us all away.

Before leaving Romania we hosted  a late night evening of prayer and praise! We got to see so many of the people we had spent the month with come forward for prayers! There were so many chains that were loosed and freedom that evening.  The last two days we were there the changes were evident in the people we had been living with all month! One of the ladies who had been abused by her husband  was walking around with her head up and smiling, as well as her son! One of the teenage boys who is also staying at Casa Shalom had a joy and a dedication to coming to church that we hadn’t seen all month! Our male squad leader got to spend that weekend pouring into to him, which is something the boy doesn’t get to experience that much, if at all!

We finished ministry in Romania October 12th and loaded up on a 13 hour train from Bucharest to Chisinau, Moldova! We spent a couple days in Chisinau for an orientation before heading to our upcoming ministry site…

To be continued

P.S. the computer that I am using right now is not allowing me to upload pictures… so the pictures will come at a later time!
