As I reminisce on my life today I am amazed by what God has done. Starting in Japan He opened my eyes to the huge need to share the gospel. During my time there I met a man named Akio. Our relationship was built by a desire to learn English and by sharing the book of John. During our studies we got to talk about the importance of going to church and I got to see him come to church for the first time, a huge step in Japanese culture. He taught me this phrase: Kami wa Zeno – God is Omnipotent.
Shortly after that, I
found myself walking around central city New Orleans on a prayer walk. We found a lady struggling to get her yard mowed so we gathered together to help her. While her yard was be
ing taken care ofa small group of us went inside and prayed for her. After praying she opened up her life story to us. Not only did she lose everything in Hurricane Katrina, but she continued struggling when everything she had was stolen from her not once but twice. Even through her difficulties she insisted on blessing me. On my birthday she threw a big shin dig ‘nawlins style with red beans and rice and barbeque pork chops. Before celebrating we managed to finish painting the outside of the house! The strength she had is embedded in my heart. I was blessed getting to know her
.

Last year I was on an island in the Caribbean. As most are unaware Haiti is one of the most beautiful islands ever!
Great place to celebrate my GOLDEN birthday … I think so!
While in Haiti so many events took place that it would take me all week to share everything.
So I’ll share a few highlights!
I got to help deliver over 100,000 USD worth of supplies and food be donated to communities all over Haiti.
I also got to see many children learn about Jesus! In each community there was a children’s ministry that took place! In one of the most touching communities I got to go i
n, one of the boys showed me around the community, taking my hand and showing me how proud he was about his house, A little shack with no electricity, or running water. Through the joy in this little boy’s eyes over so little I was broken. I fought back the tears when the realization that there was very little I could do to change his situation surfaced! All I had to share was the gift of Jesus Christ and teach him about God who loves him so much. I had to decide if I really believed what I really believed..Is God really all I need?
In return his friends sat down and patiently taught me, “Lord I Lift Your Name on High” I can’t think of a better song to be taught! “He came from H
eaven to Earth to show the way…. “I was able to take this song into every community I went in and sing it with them or even teach them! The impression it made on the Haitians was priceless. The knowledge of Creole opened a door! All because a little boy and his friends took the time to teach me one song!
So what is my purpose in all these stories? God is doing sooo much in me and through me through every trip I go on and I need people to partner with me to help these stories keep coming. I need people to help make my mission possible. I am looking for people to make $20, $40 or even $100 monthly or one time commitments! I am currently at $4300 and need 6000 by August 18th to be able to GO!!!
P.S- Today is my birthday and I can’t think of a better gift to give, than allowing someone to go all around the world and share their faith!
I can't do this alone, I wasn't meant to do it alone.
