After waking I went about my regular routine and then jetted out of the house. I was quickly greeted by a dense thick fog. As I made my way to work, driving proved to be a challenge due to less than 1/8th of a mile visibility all around me!

I couldn’t see what was going on behind me,
I couldn’t see what was going on ahead of me,
nor could I see to the sides.  I almost started
getting claustrophobic.

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14

The fog got me thinking. Here we are going through life and all we know is what’s right now. We can’t focus on what’s behind us or we’ll never make it forward.   How often do we get freaked out when something unexpected arises and we didn’t see it coming?  How about when a big change is being made? I’m very, very guilty of trying to have a plan for everything that might happen, and if something shakes that I get FREAKED OUT!!

Personally, it is getting really easy to get distracted with the What-ifs of the World Race.

What if I don’t get all the money in time?
What if something bad happens while I am gone?
What are my friends and family going to think?
What am I going to miss while I am gone?

When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Psalm 94:19

But I’m choosing to continue forward, to press on!  God knows the plans that he has for me and I am clinging to HIS truth! I believe whole-heartedly that God has called me to missions, I pray for Him to help me with my unbelief! I am left with these What-Ifs to focus on!

-What if I grow in my relationship in Christ more than I ever thought possible?
-What if I get to experience life in an 'abundant' manner that people only dream about?
-What if I get to help change the world for the better by getting to share God's love literally around the world?
