Hey there folks! Can you believe that we have come this far? It’s been about 1 year and 4 months since I was accepted on the world race. About 11 months since I went to Georgia for training camp. Almost 10 months since I have left for the world race fully funded. That’s a long time and all made possible because of you. I love you guys and am so blessed to receive your love and support. In about 67 days I will be back home to tell you all this to your face. How crazy is that?! I am both elated and somewhat saddened. Elated to be home and see those whom I dearly miss but I will be sad to leave the people that both watched and helped me grow into the woman God has planned me to be.

Which leads me to talking about 3 very special people who helped ignite the fire and desire to grow and change. Those people would be my 3 squad leaders, Tim, Abby, and Lauren. I first met them during training camp where they helped break ourselves down so that the Lord could build us back up and they helped us dominate in squad Olympics. If you thought I was crazy for going on the race that makes these people insane. Tim and Lauren came off the race at the end of June  2010 and then launched with us as our squad leaders in October. They were home for 3 months. Abby came home from her race in September 2009, left for the G42 academy in Spain (many racers go there) in January 2010, came home again around July and then launched out with us in October making her time home total about 7 months. The Lord has placed a heavy anointing on these three. They have covered us in prayer, prophesied over us, and spoke Life into us. For the first 4 months of my race (Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and the Philippines)  they traveled from team to team making sure we were all adjusting and spent a great deal of time encouraging us.  At the end of month 4 with new squad leaders raised up we said our goodbyes in the airport and as S-squad flew to Thailand Tim, Abby, and Lauren flew back to the states. We wouldn’t see each other until month 8 (Kenya debrief). Not having them out on the field with us was weird and our Thailand debrief wasn’t the same without them. So when our Kenya debrief came around we were ecstatic when we saw them! Saying goodbye a second time was harder. The plan is to see them again at our final debrief in India.

This is where you come in. We need them to come to India. It wouldn’t be the same without them. We started our race with these 3 mighty warriors of God and we would love to finish the race with them. While they were home they didn’t just slack off. They had to finally adjust to life back in America and still pray for us and support us. The problem is that they need to raise support to buy their tickets to come to India. Not a cheap thing to do. The good news is I am not asking you to buy their whole ticket (unless that’s what the Lord is calling you to do). What I am asking is that you pray about and hopefully donate a little into their support accounts to help. If everyone on my squad got one person to donate about $25 they would be covered. It’s quite simple  to donate too. Below I have posted their links to their blogs so you can check them out and read about how the Lord has moved in their lives over the past 1-3 years. Just like under my photo on my blog page they too have a link that says something like “Support Me”. You simply just click that it and it directs and instructs you how you can donate. It works the same way it worked for me. Please pray about donating to them. I am telling you not having them at final debrief would be a great loss.
Thank you so much for all the support and encouragement you have given me. God has blessed me so much this past year and it has been my prayer that he would bless you all in great abundance. I’ll be seeing you in 67 days with some amazing stories! Love you all!

Tim Fizzell

Tim is one of the most amazing men of God that I have ever met. This man is a friece pray warrior and speaks so much life into you. He is anointed by the Lord to speak truth that convicts your heart. Although I do not know Tim all that well personally he has encouraged me so much to continue to push through and seek out what the Lord has in store for me.

Abby Barnett

Abby is riot who is always making people laugh. Let me tell you that this is a woman you want on your side in battle. Seriously! Wise beyond her years this woman constantly seeks to do the Lord’s will. Abby is also one of the biggest prayer warriors I know. She is completely selfless and has one of the biggest hearts I know. She too speaks so much truth that brings about revelations.

Lauren Williamson

Lauren is the squad leader I am closest too. She has spoken the most life into me and really has blessed my life. Lauren has prayed over me when I was sick, rubbed my back as I cried, and encouraged me when I thought about throwing in the towel and calling it quits. She is one fierce woman who will fight for people she loves. She always sees the best in people and strives to make them see how much they are worth in the Lord’s eyes and not by the world’s standards.
