Graduation!
You may or may not know that as of Christmas of 2009 I wasn’t going to go back to college because I felt that school was not where I was supposed to be, even though I was 9 credits from graduating!(You should read “Who I am” over on the left to understand why)Another reason was becauseMuskegon Community College (MCC) kept throwing me curve balls and I was just tired of trying to figure everything out.I never thought I would make it, but here I am a college graduate!!!I am so glad to finally be done. No more homework, late night papers, cramming for final exams, or spending an insane amount of money on books. There are a few things and a few people at MCC that I will miss. For example, I will miss everything about the Overbrook Theatre including the people whom I did shows with, my work study, the professors who have encouraged me inside and outside of the classroom, dance classes, and Global Awareness Festival.
So what’s next?
Well I start getting my act together and buckling down on things I need to get done for the World Race. I am a procrastinator, but I want to stay on top of all the stuff I need to get done before I leave. I have made one big step in the right direction and that is that I should be speaking at both services at my home church on May 16. Nervous? Yes, but I have been praying that God will take me out of it and give me the words to say to help raise support so that I may follow the path that he had laid for me. This race, it’s not about me, so I pray that from the beginning he ties my hands down so I won’t mess up his plans.
The other big event in my life coming up in34 daysis that I start working at Camp Geneva again until August 14! I am so truly blessed!
(I still haven’t figured out what to write about or how to blog exactly ha ha. So I apologize for this short and somewhat random post. I just thought I would give y’all a heads up on my life. :])
